Hummus and tabouli are the classic middle eastern appetizer. If I’m at a Mediterranean restaurant, this would be my go to for an appetizer. I host a lot of parties with family and friends and I really love to entertain. My favorite gatherings are ones with just appetizers, oh and of course some alcohol. I always make hummus and tabouli as one of my appetizers. I cannot tell you enough about the health benefits that parsley contains. It’s an herb that contains vitamin C which is one of the most highly regarded vitamins out there. Hummus goes with tabouli like peanut butter goes with jelly. The creaminess and smooth texture of the hummus has so much flavor with such an easy and simple recipe. Yes you can buy hummus and tabouli but when you make it, you can customize the flavors to your liking. I call this classic appetizer a power food. Oh and the fresh pita bread is the best part. If you really want to make it an easy appetizer, you can make a pizza hummus and tabouli pie. Take a pita bread, spread hummus, then add tabouli and cut it up like a pie. You have yourself a hummus and tabouli pizza. I promise that your belly will be dancing to these fresh flavors and simple recipes!
