Burger with Caramelized Onions and Sweet Sauce
Ingredients:
- Minced Ground Beef (2 Pounds)
- Minced Sausage (1 Pound)
- Onion (1 Diced)
- Jalapeño (1 Small Diced)
- Worcestershire Sauce (1 Tablespoon)
- Tomato Sauce (2 Tablespoons)
- Bread Crumbs (1 Cup)
- Egg (1)
- Parsley (1 Bunch, Chopped)
- Salt and Pepper (1/2 Teaspoon Each)
Ingredients For The Burger Sauce:
- Brown Sugar (1 Cup)
- Ketchup (1/2 Cup)
- Red Wine Vinaigrette (1/2 Cup)
- Worcestershire Sauce (1 Tablespoon)
- Salt and Pepper (1/4 Teaspoon Each)
Ingredients For Topping:
- Onion (1 Caramelized)
- Oil (1 Tablespoon)
- Lettuce (Bib or Romain)
- Cheese (Swiss)
- Pickles
- Burger Buns
Directions For The Burger Mix:
- In a large bowl, add the minced beef and minced sausage.
- Add the diced onion and diced jalapeño to that mixture.
- Add the Worcestershire and tomato sauce.
- Add the breadcrumbs and the egg.
- Add the parsley, salt and pepper.
- Mix everything together and make sure its well blended.
- Form into patties.
- Grill the burgers 3-4 minutes each side.
- Set aside and make the sauce.
- In a small bowl, add the brown sugar.
- Then add the ketchup and red wine vinaigrette.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce.
- Add the salt and pepper.
- Blend together and set aside.
- To make the caramelized onions, Cut them in half moon and sauté in a small non stick pan with 1 tablespoon of oil for 2-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Assorting, bun, sauce, burger, cheese, lettuce and pickles.
